Remember, the Mac will NEVER, EVER tell you about a virus (it just removes it without your intervention), nor will it give you a window to “log in” when it freezes. If your Mac freezes, you either hit Option-Command-Esc to bring up the Force Quit pop up window, or long press the power button to reboot.
